*New Welsh Tartan for 2011!*
The new ‘Spirit Of Glyndwr’ tartan, is designed to coordinate with any wedding colour and embraces the shades of the dark grey slates and deep water lakes of Mid and North Wales, Owain Glyn Dwr’s homeland. The base yarn colours of black and grey in the Spirit Of Glyndwr (Grey) are available to hire, for weddings, evening functions and even a cruise around the Med!
Two further tartans are available to purchase, using the same base colours, but take inspiration from Glyn Dwr’s standard (flag), Spirit Of Glyndwr ‘Red’, and The Spirit Of Glyndwr ‘Gold’, unique to the Welsh Tartan Centre. The 3 tartans are modelled for us by a modern day Welsh icon, John Hartson, who capped The Welsh national football team 51 times and played nearly 400 league games, scoring 167 goals in his career for the likes of Celtic, Arsenal and West Ham amongst others. Massive thanks to John for his help in launching our new range of Welsh tartans.
